The waterproof Cloudsurfer Trail 2 is a door-to-trail shoe for wet, muddy and cold-weather running, built around a cushioned ride that stays comfortable on the road section at either end of a trail run.
It fits true to size with a narrow-to-standard toebox and a strong taper, so there is limited room for toe splay and wide feet may want a half size up. The upper is very locked down, and the toebox is shallow and angled enough that it can feel short and constrict high-volume feet. There is no reliable independent review of the waterproof version specifically, so we cannot tell you whether the membrane changes the fit or warmth.
