Saucony Triumph 24 vs Triumph 23
Triumph 24 or Triumph 23? Here’s how they compare on feel, fit, brand specs and price, from the fitting team at The Run House.
The short answer
The Triumph 24 replaced the Triumph 23.
A new IncrediLUX foam, a much taller stack and less weight.
What changed
- Foam: New incrediLUX foam replaces PWRRUN PB. It’s softer and much lighter, though a bit less stable.
- Outsole: New rubber compound and a segmented tread with directional lugs.
- Heel: Extra padding around the collar.
- On the run: Softer and bouncier. Forefoot and fit about the same.
- Measured: 0.5 oz lighter and drop down from 10mm to 8mm. Heel stack about the same.

On the run
Triumph 24: Max cushion with real bounce. Lively and bouncy thanks to Saucony’s new foam, with a balanced rather than mushy feel and a gentle rocker. It’s tall but light for its size and stays peppy when you pick up the pace.
Triumph 23: Big cushion with real energy. Huge cushioning with real energy return from a full PWRRUN PB midsole. The wide platform makes it stable, though the foam can feel firm to some runners.

Fit
Triumph 24. True to size, with excellent heel lockdown. It has more volume than the 23, but the toebox measures on the snug side, so wide feet should take the wide.
Triumph 23. True to size with a secure heel. The toebox is on the snug side.
