The METASPEED SKY is ASICS' carbon-plated racer for stride-style runners, the ones who go faster by lengthening their stride rather than lifting cadence. If you are the opposite, the EDGE is the shoe designed for you, and we are happy to talk it through.

The fit is race-snug throughout, with a slightly narrow heel, normal midfoot and forefoot width, and extra forefoot volume for toe splay and race-day swelling. Upper security is good with no heel slippage. The thin, non-gusseted tongue takes a moment to position. Some testers felt it runs slightly short, so long-toed runners should try before buying.
